This book was the first book that "Diana" ever read to "Chestnut." Its simple,
compelling rhyme makes it easy to memorize quickly (for those rote
reciters), and the last page is a mirror, into which both (or more!)
tiny members of the audience can mash their faces. But you don't need an older sibling to be the reader. We read this over
and over, and it brought great joy well into people's being 4 years old. Nothing is as quite as winning, strange, and…poetic? as a great baby book. It can cut right to the heart of the matter.
